Joy, I'm very new at searching for ancestors, so when I discovered this site I was thrilled. In a very short time, thanks to you and others who have so generously shared their information, I have discovered multitudes of relatives. I'm a decendant of Calv n and Lucy Johnson Bennett Wilkerson through their daughter Mary Jane, who married Abner Wade. They had a daughter named Sarah Ellen Wade who married George Albin. These(Sarah & George) were my grandmothers parents. I wish I had some information that wo ld help you in some way, but I don't think I do, however, if you have any questions, please e-mail me. Interesting enough, I have a James Wilkerson born in VA, 1790, son of Parson Wilkerson bn 1765-1767. Mother's name was Anna Butler, md 31 Aug 1784. My line comes from James' brother, Nicholas Wilkerson, bn 1785, dd 1871, md Malinda DeWitt 11 Jan 1803. y family lives in Bedford VA as they have since the later 1700's along the Blue Ridge Mountains. Parson's father was Joseph Wilkerson 1729-1829. First marriage to Penelope Parsons, second to Rhoda Lockett. He was the overseer for Major Randolph's Dungeness Plantation in Goochland Co, VA. He moved west to Bedford later circa 1755. His father, Nic olas Wilkinson, is the original settler from England, probably late 1600's or very early 1700's.

Sister Anna joined him in Krebs, Ok, and ended up marrying John Wagner and moving to Washington State. Seeking information on William Harris, born 1815 SC, died btwn 1880 and 1900 in the Notasulga, Macon County, AL area. He married a Rachel in SC(born March 1823 SC), and they had several children before moving to AL between 1847 and 1857. Children: Sava nah (never married), Alice(never married), 'Judge', Monroe, Laura, and Ed Herbert. Ed married Emma Duke/Lowe, and they are buried at Salem-Macon Baptist Church in Notasulga, AL. Laura married William Carroll, and they are buried in the same cemetery. H ve been unable to locate the graves of anyone else. If you have any information, PLEASE contact me. Thanks, Amy
